In order to achieve the objectives above, ACD wishes to establish programs as detailed below with related activities.

The emphasis would be on National level, District, County, Sub-county and local level. Communities to realise responsibility of support the aged and Government to develop policies that favour the elderly.
Project for the fairly strong members e.g petty-trade, crafts, agriculture, poultry and skills development.
To solicit and provide suppliers for the extremely old and poor in the rural.
Take part in different seminars to lobby and advocate.
Form centres in each district where they can get information and advise from ACD staff.
It is planned to train some community members in counselling and healthy care service.

Current Activities of ACD:

Develop organisational system like managerial management and structure development.
Meeting line ministries to lobby and advocate for policies, Ministry of gender
Networking with NGOs like Uganda Reach the Aged Association (URRAS), Age Care International, etc locally or international
Information gathering and sharing regarding other nations areas, etc on the handling of the aged.
The elderly of the formally working class to access and manage their benefit
Generating project (IGPs) to support the extremely in alternative living skills after the formal employment
Establish a counselling program for the elderly in alternative living skills after the formal employment
Encourage the elderly people to keep healthy by feeding well and getting proper medical care.
